Tools / UI copy
UI copy Free
Reviews buttons, errors, empty states, tooltips and toasts against what each one needs to do, checks the set for consistency, and runs the AI-writing tells over all of it.
MCP tool name: review_ui_copy. REST: POST /api/ui-copy. Free: 30 runs a day per IP, 20,000 characters each. Pro: no cap.
Ask for it in plain words
Review interface copy, one string per line, optionally prefixed with a type (button:, error:, empty:, tooltip:, placeholder:, heading:, toast:, label:). Checks each string for what its type needs (errors say what to do, empty states give a next step, buttons name the outcome), checks the set for inconsistency, and runs AI-writing tells over everything.
Inputs
| Name | Type | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
text | string | One string per line, e.g. 'button: Submit' or 'error: Invalid input' |
items | array | Or a list of strings or {text, type} |
* required
Example
curl -X POST https://designers.allthepossibles.com/api/ui-copy \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"text":"button: Submit\nerror: Invalid input\nerror: Oops! Something went wrong.\nempty: No projects\ntooltip: Click here to learn more about how this feature works and what you can do with it\nbutton: Save changes"}'
Example output
The report field, for the input above (structured fields come back alongside it):
6 strings: 3 high, 5 medium, 1 low
[button] Submit
MEDIUM "Submit" does not say what happens; name the outcome ("Save changes", "Send invoice")
[error] Invalid input
HIGH says what went wrong but not what to do about it
MEDIUM "invalid" names no field and no rule; say which and what is accepted
[error] Oops! Something went wrong.
LOW exclamation mark; tone reads as cheerful at the wrong moment, especially in errors
MEDIUM filler (Oops) adds tone and no information
HIGH says what went wrong but not what to do about it
[empty] No projects
HIGH an empty state with no next step; say how to fill it
MEDIUM too short to say what will live here and why it is empty
[tooltip] Click here to learn more about how this feature works and what you can do with it
MEDIUM "click here" names the gesture and not the destination, and fails on touch screens; say where it leads
[button] Save changes
AI-writing tells across all strings: 0/100 (clean)

Limits of this tool
Deterministic: the same input always gives the same answer. It does not call a language model.
